THIS LISTING IS ON WATER ISLAND,USVI JUST OFF THE COAST OF ST THOMAS. VERY PRIVATE SMALL ISLAND (500 ACRES). "THE FOURTH VIRGIN". No traffic, no crowds. Water Island is a small non developed island.
This is NOT an apartment or house on the same property as another. It is a private residence on .75 acres of paradise.
For less than the cost of one nice hotel room you and your family can stay in a house with a huge deck, large living room and explore a beautiful island!
The house sits on the crest of Water Island so there is plenty of breeze. The house faces St. Thomas providing a sparkling night-time view while still having a view to open water to the left of the deck. The house is a spacious 1600 square feet. The deck is a very large (and private) 750 square feet. The setting is very tropical. On the deck you will have the view and the breeze all to yourself.
Slow Mocean has 2 large bedrooms. The blue bedroom (on the water side) has a new queen bed, sitting area, closet, dresser, private access to a bathroom, and private access to the deck.
The green second bedroom (on the garden side) has a queen bed . It works well for children or a second couple. It has one oversized dresser and private access to the bathroom. It also has a private door to the outside. Just outside this door is an outside shower.
There is a 3rd 'sleeping area' (separate from the living room) with a blue double futon if needed.
There is an additional "studio" apartment available if the group exceeds 6, for an additional fee. This does not connect to the main house, but has an en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and private outdoor deck. Please inquire if you'd like to add this space.
Guests enter the house into the living area. This area is large with plenty of sitting space. The TV is in this room. There are wonderful views through the sliding glass doors. The sliding doors lead to the deck.
The blue kitchen ajoins an inside dining area and another sitting area. The kitchen is fully outfitted with dishwasher, disposal, UV water filter, microwave, toaster oven--everything you need. The kitchen opens to the deck. There is a second full bath off the blue sitting area. There is wireless internet.
The huge deck runs the entire length of the water side of the house. It has an outside dining area, sunning area, shade to sit in, and a place to hang wet clothing. The view is wonderful day and night.
There is a washer /dryer. There are also noodles and other water flotations available in the storage area.
Water Island is the perfect place to experience the Caribbean away from the crowds. However, St. Thomas is only a five minute ferry ride away so you can shop or visit restaurants if you want. The ferry docks at Crown Bay Marina on St. Thomas, which has a dive shop, internet office, restaurant, and grocery store. We provide a fully furnished house and a golf cart for transportation. We will provide you information you need about the island so you can fully enjoy your stay in paradise.
Much of Water Island is dedicated green space. There are beautiful natural island palm forests. Driving around the island allows you to see many great vistas, interesting animals and plants. Snorkeling off Honeymoon beach is good. Just walk right in! Honeymoon Beach provides covered shady sitting areas with chairs, and privacy. There are other beaches on the island that are good exploring, shell hunting beaches. We will provide a map of the best places to swim, snorkel, shell hunt or be alone.
My property manager will arrange a golf cart for you, meet you at the WI ferry dock, take you to the house and be available for questions or issue that might arise during your stay.
