2 Bedroom Apartment in Estate Caret Bay, St Thomas
Captain's Quarters was truly a labor of love. It look us three years to build and was completed in December of 2014. We are located on the beautiful north shores of St Thomas. The villa faces NE so we enjoy warm tropical breezes most all year. The view is phenomenal. We sit above five bays and have an expansive view of the Atlantic ocean. You can only find that true aqua color here in our crystal clear waters. We have over 30 varieties of tropical trees and flowers on the grounds and enjoy the hummingbirds and parrots that frequent them.
Our location is considered rural or as the locals call it "the bush". This means we are away from the hustle and bustle of town but close enough to enjoy our shopping and restaurants. You don't hear traffic noise here, just the waves breaking on the rocks, the squawk of parrots and the song of the "coki frogs" at night. All ocean views on the island are spectacular but ours are not hindered with power lines or neighbor's houses. We have an unobstructed spectacular view!
Did we mention the breezes keep away the bugs so dining outdoors is a real treat? There is casual seating on the porch in addition to a six person dining table and chef's grill. Inside, the Quarters has comfortable leather furniture for those in the mood for a little TV. We offer a 47in HDTV with an Amazon Firestick, including Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix. The fully equipped kitchen has custom cabinets, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and an ice maker that's a real work horse!
The Master Suite has views of the ocean and our ever growing banana garden. The king bed has a great mattress and several pillows to choose from enabling a good nights rest. The en suite bath has a double vanity and a walk in travertine stone shower with a window. You can enjoy the outside while showering inside!
The second bedroom has a King bed with Hotel Collection bedding. The additional bath has a travertine shower with a shower rain head. The full size front load washer and dryer are conveniently located in the hallway.
Joe and I live on the property also but we designed our home with vacationers in mind. You'll have your own space with a private entrance and personal parking. We are handicapped accessible and one of the few properties on the island with NO STAIRS and level grounds. We are here and available to insure you have the best vacation possible in our tropical paradise. We're happy to help with directions or answer any questions you may have. Joe has sampled every burger on the island and is eager to offer his opinions! Our goal is for you to have a great time on St Thomas!

We have a beautiful courtyard with a POOL! While you're here, the pool is a great place to relax and cool off. It's only used by guests in our two units. You'll see Joe cleaning it every morning and if we're invited, serving his famous rum punch at cocktail time!
"Honorable Mention" goes to our GENERATOR. Being on an island we have a limited power grid to draw from. Consequently, at times we find ourselves without electricity. Joe is not much for roughing it or having his favorite scifi program interrupted so when the lights go out, our GENERATOR goes on!
If you've searched for a place to stay while on your vacation, you already know how beautiful our island is.
All beaches are open to the public, don't limit yourself just to one. Each offers something different.
It's so fun to eat here. The restaurants are many and their menus unique. Enjoy the local cuisine from a food truck or eat in a five star establishment.
Consider renting a car. Driving here is an experience all it's own. With a car you can explore the island. We're only 14 miles long, 3 wide. We drive slowly, anything over 25 mpr is too fast. Come and go as you please. When someone waits for you in traffic, a slight beep means THANK YOU!
